If you want to enjoy music in space-age quality without worrying about the decibels or price then look no further than the mini-Phantom from Devialet. It is a sure-fire way to enjoy music like never before.
New mini-Phantom
Back in 2016, Devialet launched a pair of speakers that were heavy on power and price. There were quite expensive but they worth the price. With 4,500W of power, those speakers could rock even an expansive living room. In 2019, the company came with another pair called Phantom Reactor. It was the mini-version of the what was launched three-years ago.
Design
The company made bold claims about the new products. And it not only used words describe the product but it also showcased its pictures. It has an aluminum core with stainless steel white exterior. And this design justifies its weight that is approximately 4.5kg. At this weight, it isn’t light in handling but it won’t be a problem to move the Devialet Phantom.
Setup
The design makes setting up the device delightfully easy. Whether you the speakers in Bluetooth mode or sync them with a local network, you won’t be disappointed. And you are free to choose the connection – Spotify Connect, AirPlay or UPnP, Google Music and Google Drive and OneDrive and Amazon Cloud Drive and more. Also, there is a physical 3.5mm output too. But it is the physical touch sensitivity of the controls that will make you say wow for the speakers.
Sound quality
The one thing that can explain the sound quality of this speaker is that you will be forgive the minor playback issues after listening to its sound. And it is really very-very difficult to believe that a speaker of this size and power could produce such loud and exquisite sound. Its dimensions could be small but the sound the Devialet Phantom produces isn’t small by any means.
Final verdict
This device would make you feel its presence in your living room is its superior sound quality. And the connectivity of Phantom Reactor is so strong that even the regular issues like slowness in response look slight drawbacks.
